I have been adding the colostrum to my dog's homemade food, to be honest, I have not seen any differences if this product helps or not my dog's overall health, until recently, I read that the colostrum is more effective if it is used on an empty stomach. Also read that by adding a little bit of water to make a paste texture, it is great for oral health. Since my dog is on homemade food, he hardly has any tartar, but he had a strong fish breath. My dog eats dehydrated chicken feet and also greenies to keep up with his oral health, but doesn't seem to be enough, then I decided to give the colostrum in a paste form every night before going to sleep, since he loves the taste, he lets me brush his teeth as well. Since I have been doing this, the fishy breath smell went away. I would recommend to use this product on an empty stomach and not with food.
A friend let me try it when Xena was sick and didn't feel like eating. She would lick the bowl clean when I sprinkled some over her food. And I feel it helped her regain her strength quickly. Now I keep it in stock.
